Exclusive:Mahesh Babu’s Niece Bharati Set For Screen Debut?

Director Teja, who gave Tollywood some of its most memorable debuts by introducing stars like Reema Sen, Kajal Aggarwal, Sada, Nithiin, Uday Kiran, and Aadhi Pinisetty, is now ready to launch another fresh face.

This time, it’s none other than Bharati Ghattamaneni, daughter of the late Ramesh Babu and niece of superstar Mahesh Babu.

“Bharati has already completed her look tests and attended workshops to prepare for a well-etched lover-girl role,” reveals a source, adding that the project has the blessings of both Mahesh Babu and Ramesh Babu’s families.

“Teja was keen on casting someone who looked traditional yet charming. Bharati’s graceful dance performance to her uncle Mahesh Babu’s chartbuster Kurichi Madathapetti on Instagram went viral and helped her bag this plum role.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the only debut from the Ghattamaneni family. Mahesh Babu’s nephew, Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, is also gearing up for his Tollywood entry with director Ajay Bhupathi’s film.

“It’s quite rare in Tollywood for siblings to step into the industry at the same time, and naturally, the Mahesh Babu family is excited and supportive. Mahesh has always stood by his brother Ramesh Babu, even backing him as a producer with the big-ticket film Arjun,” the source points out.

Meanwhile, Teja is currently working on a socio-fantasy thriller, which also marks the debut of his son, Amitov. The film’s shoot began on August 8. “A new pair and their onscreen romance will bring freshness to this new-age fantasy thriller,” the source concludes.
