Exclusive: S.S. Rajamouli In Talks With Tamil Star Vikram?

In what could be a major casting coup, acclaimed director S.S. Rajamouli has reportedly approached Tamil superstar Vikram for a pivotal role in his upcoming magnum opus starring Mahesh Babu which is tentatively titled SSMB29.

“Rajamouli has spoken to Vikram about a substantial role in the film, but nothing has been finalized yet,” a source revealed. “He’s looking for someone who can match the stature and popularity of Mahesh Babu—and Vikram, with his exceptional talent and massive fan base, fits the bill perfectly.”

Following the buzz of Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra joining the cast to elevate the international appeal of the project, Rajamouli now seems focused on roping in another marquee name from Indian cinema to make this globe-trotting action-adventure a star-studded spectacle.

“Vikram is no stranger to Telugu audiences, thanks to blockbuster films like Aparichitudu, I, and Ponniyin Selvan. His pan-Indian appeal and strong fan following—especially among Tamil audiences worldwide—make him an ideal addition,” the source added.
