Exclusive: Samantha Has No Connection to ‘PEDDI’?

Reacting to reports that glam diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu would be reuniting with reigning star Ram Charan in his upcoming film PEDDI, a source has dismissed the buzz outright.

“These rumours are false and baseless,” the source said, adding that there has been no discussion about an item song and that the reports came as a surprise to the makers. “We laughed it off,” he remarked.

The source also revealed that music maestro A.R. Rahman has not composed any such track. “Rahman has given two songs to director Buchi Babu so far. We just started shooting a montage song on Ram Charan, and we are yet to begin the picturization of other songs,” he clarified.

Production has faced weather-related setbacks. “The rains have affected our schedule. We couldn’t complete the shoot at the ₹5-crore Vizianagaram set, built on open grounds on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Only a few portions were filmed, as heavy rains over the last two weeks kept actors confined to their caravans,” the source added.

Samantha, who made waves with her sizzling dance number Oo Antava.. in Pushpa: The Rise, was replaced by Sreeleela in the sequel Pushpa: The Rule. As for PEDDI, the source stressed, “It’s too early to talk about special songs in the film.”
