Music maestro A.R. Rahman, who took a break from Tollywood, is determined to rock music charts with few more tunes in the days to come.
Reigning star Ram Charan is set to shoot key sequences at the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi for his upcoming film Peddi, according to sources. “He will spend a day on preparation and begin shooting at the iconic location from Saturday for crucial scenes,” a source reveals.
The source adds that Ram Charan will also shoot at Jama Masjid and the Red Fort, while several other historic monuments in the capital will feature as montage shots. “These scenes are extremely important to the sports-centric drama, and the team has obtained the necessary permissions,” the source says.
The actor, who is riding high on the success of his song Chikri Chikri—which has crossed 100 million views across languages—has also received an overwhelming response for his striking makeover. His rugged look, complete with a thick beard and moustache, has generated strong buzz among fans.
“Since Parliament sessions are currently underway, permission to shoot at the new Parliament building was declined. However, the team has managed to secure some of the best locations across both New Delhi and Old Delhi for the upcoming schedule,” the source adds.
Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and is a rural sports drama featuring Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Music maestro A.R. Rahman, who took a break from Tollywood, is determined to rock music charts with few more tunes in the days to come.
