After exploring powerful roles in high-profile films like Kuberaa and Coolie, seasoned star Nagarjuna is reportedly gearing up to return to the big screen as a full-fledged hero. According to sources, he has given his nod to an exciting script narrated by Tamil director Ra Karthick.

“Nagarjuna agreed in principle to collaborate with Ra Karthick two days ago,” a source revealed. “Karthick, known for Tamil films like Nitham Oru Vaanam, pitched a hero-centric story that caught Nagarjuna’s interest. The project is set to roll out soon.”
Nagarjuna’s last outing as the lead, Naa Saami Ranga, was a box-office success, where he seamlessly balanced romance and action in a rustic setting. “He has been reviewing several scripts for a comeback as a lead actor,” the source continued. “Though content with playing diverse and special roles in Kuberaa and Coolie, Nagarjuna has been keen to return to his comfort zone—playing the central protagonist.”
By choosing supporting roles recently, Nagarjuna aimed to showcase his versatility. His authoritative look in Kuberaa and flamboyant style in Coolie have further solidified his reputation as a dynamic performer, breaking away from his earlier lover-boy and action-hero image.
“In Kuberaa, he plays an upright officer opposite Tamil star Dhanush in what is designed as a multi-starrer. Meanwhile, his role in Coolie is short but impactful,” the source added.
