Speaking at the teaser event of his upcoming film, director Mysskin made a bold statement where he stated that Train couldn’t have been made without Vijay Sethupathi and that even Kamal Haasan sir or Aamir Khan can’t do this film because it was written for VJS only, he said, while heaping praises on the actor popularly known as Makkal Selvan.
The director went on to praise the actor’s performance with rare conviction. “I will never praise my own film. If the movie isn’t good, beat me with slippers. My film should run only if it is genuinely good. What I’m talking about is Vijay Sethupathi’s great performance.”Vijay Sethupathi, who was present, also shared a few fond memories from the shooting process, adding warmth to the evening.
With Mysskin’s strong praise and the buzz around Vijay Sethupathi’s performance, Train is already on track to be one of the most awaited films. Like all other Mysskin thrillers, ‘Train’ too promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller.
Train, which is being produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, whose V Creations is producing the film and directed by Mysskin, will feature a host of stars including Nasser, Shruti Haasan, Yugi Sethu, Narain, KS Ravikumar, Sampath Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Ira Dayanand and Preethy Karan. The film has cinematography by Fowzia Fathima and music by Mysskin himself. The film is likely to be released in the month of August, though no tentative date has been announced.The high octane 43-second teaser was released on Sunday.
