Dhurandhar Becomes Ranveer Singh’s Biggest Hit, Aims for Kantara’s Record
With the upcoming Christmas holidays, Dhurandhar is expected to touch the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide.
Ranveer Singh is basking in the massive success of Dhurandhar, which has kept cash registers ringing at the box office since its theatrical release. The film collected Rs 38.5 crore this past Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 555.75 crore. Globally, Dhurandhar has already crossed the Rs 800 crore mark.
The film is now inching closer to surpassing the lifetime collection of Kantara: Chapter 1 (which earned Rs 852.27 crore globally) to become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
It has already overtaken Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which concluded its run at Rs 807.91 crore.
With the upcoming Christmas holidays, Dhurandhar is expected to touch the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide.
This would mark the first Rs 1000 crore film in Ranveer Singh’s 15-year career, significantly outperforming his previous blockbusters Bajirao Mastani (Rs 357 crore) and Padmaavat (Rs 585 crore). Dhurandhar is helmed by director Aditya Dhar.
