Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude for being part of the WAVES (World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit) Advisory Board. Taking to X, he wrote, "Thank you, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, for this honor. It was truly a privilege to contribute alongside esteemed members of the Advisory Board for WAVES. I have no doubt that WAVES, a visionary initiative by Shri Modiji, will elevate India's soft power to new heights on the global stage. Exciting times ahead as we break new ground!"
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently chaired an extensive meeting with the WAVES Advisory Board, reinforcing India's ambition to become a global entertainment hub. Actor Anil Kapoor also took to social media to express his appreciation for the initiative. Posting on his official X account, the Animal star wrote, "It's an honor to be part of the WAVES Advisory Board and contribute to this incredible initiative. We had a deeply insightful discussion, and I look forward to working towards establishing India as a leading force in global entertainment."
As part of the WAVES Summit, held from February 5–9, 2025, Prime Minister Modi engaged in virtual discussions with some of India’s most prominent film personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Diljit Dosanjh, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and music maestro AR Rahman.
Beyond the entertainment industry, the Prime Minister also interacted with top business leaders, including Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Mahindra & Mahindra Chairperson Anand Mahindra, among others.
