Playback singer Chinmayi Sripaada has hit out strongly at actor Sivaji for using inappropriate language against female actors who dress up in modern ways for events. She opined that Sivaji should walk the talk and dress up in a traditional way.
Saying that he has doled out "unnecessary advice" to actresses using slurs like ‘Daridrapu M*nda’, she particularly accused him for using words like "samanlu" for women's body parts. "He played a villain in a fantastic film (read Court) and ended up becoming the hero for incel (involuntary celibates) boys. He himself wears Jeans and Hoodie. He should wear only Dhotis and follow Indian culture. Wear bottu and if he is married wear the Kankanam and Mettelu to signify he is married. Unbelievable how women are treated here," she wrote.
With many supporting the actor, Chinmayi further wrote, "And like clockwork incels ranting in support of the male actor’s comments. I really don't understand how girls are safe here."
