Niti Taylor Reveals Disturbing Casting Couch Experience
Niti Taylor made her Telugu debut with Tanish’s ‘Mem Vayasuku Vachham’ in 2012.
Actress Niti Taylor has opened up about a disturbing casting couch experience she allegedly faced while working in the South Indian film industry. The actress revealed that a director she had previously worked with reportedly made an inappropriate proposition when he approached her for another film.
In a recent interview, Niti Taylor recalled that she had worked in just two films in the South. After completing her first project, the same director reportedly approached her for a second film. However, she was shocked when he allegedly asked her to have a physical relationship with him as a condition for being cast in the project.
Niti said she was caught off guard by the proposition and did not know how to react initially. Rather than confronting the director, she decided to block his phone number. The incident left her deeply distressed, as she had entered the industry hoping to earn opportunities through her talent and passion for acting.
Recalling the emotional impact of the experience, Niti reportedly said she broke down while sharing the incident with her mother. The actress added that facing such a situation early in her career was particularly painful, given her enthusiasm for films and her expectations of the industry.
Niti Taylor made her Telugu debut with Tanish’s ‘Mem Vayasuku Vachham’ in 2012. She later appeared in films such as ‘Pelli Pustakam’ and ‘Love Dot Com’.
Her account has once again drawn attention to the casting couch issue and the inappropriate demands that aspiring actors may encounter while seeking opportunities in the film industry.
