Janhvi Kapoor Reacts Strongly to Shocking Thane Assault Case

A disturbing incident from Thane has triggered widespread outrage across social media, and actress Janhvi Kapoor is the latest celebrity to express her anger over the violence.
In a shocking viral video, a man identified as Gokul Jha is seen brutally attacking a 25-year-old receptionist at a hospital in Kalyan. The footage shows him running toward the woman, kicking her, and dragging her by the hair, while bystanders attempt to intervene. Following the circulation of the video, Thane Police registered a case against Jha after receiving an official complaint.
In a twist to the case, another video surfaced showing the receptionist involved in an altercation with Jha’s sister-in-law, reportedly prior to the assault.
Reacting to the incident, Janhvi Kapoor took to her social media and shared a strongly worded post. “This man needs to be in jail. Why does anyone think this behaviour is okay? What makes him think he can raise his hand at someone like this? What kind of upbringing convinces you to go through with these actions without any remorse, guilt or sense of humanity?”
She continued, “How do you live with yourself after knowing this is how your brain operates? What a shame. And shame on us for not punishing and condemning such behaviour more aggressively. Nothing excuses this.”
Her statement has been widely appreciated by fans and netizens who have called for swift and strict action against the accused.
