Mumbai: Anurag Kashyap has wrapped up filming his upcoming directorial, ‘Mukkebaz’.

The film stars Vineeth Kumar, who’s worked with Kashyap on three films, ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur,’ ‘Ugly,’ and ‘Murabba,’ his segement from ‘Bombay Talkies,’ as the lead. The film also stars Jimmy Sheirgill as the main antagonist.

Anurag, who last helmed the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Raman Raghav 2.0,’ has set the entire film in Bareilly. He also cast local actors in other prominent roles.

The film is a fictitious tale of the life of a boxer.

Anurag had recently watched the immensely appreciated ‘Angamaly Diaries’ helmed by Lijo Pellissery, which by many critics has been hailed as the best film this year so far. Incidentally, Pellissery had also cast local actors in his film, to retain the essence and flavour of it.

Anurag is looking at an August release for ‘Mukkebaz’.
