Shabana Azmi recovering well
Shabana has completely recovered but the doctors decided to keep her under observation in hospital for a few more days: Javed Akhtar.
There’s good news for the Akhtar-Azmi family! Shabana Azmi, who was hospitalised following a road accident on January 18, is all set to return home.
The actress’ husband, poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar said, “Shabana has completely recovered but the doctors decided to keep her under observation in hospital for a few more days. She is now ready to return home. We will be bringing her home on Friday morning.”
For Shabana, the accident had put the brakes on a busy schedule. She had been shooting in Budapest earlier, and from there, she orchestrated the arrangements for the week-long celebration of her husband’s 75th birthday. She had rushed back to India to attend the event, but met with the road accident the day following the birthday. “It could have been a lot worse. I’d say Shabana had a miraculous escape,” says Akthar.
