Ranbir Kapoor has his reasons for choosing the films he does — whether conventional or experimental. And he’s one of the top actors in the business today. He’s even tried his hand at production and proven, once again, that he has a strong sense of what works and what doesn’t.

However, contradictory to what rumours may suggest, the actor has no plans to revive the banner launched by his grandfather Raj Kapoor.

“RK Films is RK Films because of Raj Kapoor. If I want to make films, I will make them in my own style. That’s why I made Jagga Jassos in partnership with Anurag Basu, and not under the RK Studios banner,” Ranbir says, adding, “I don’t want to spoil it in any way. I don’t want to touch the legacy that Raj Kapoor has left behind, because that’s a huge risk for me. I don’t have the researching abilities and talent that Raj Kapoor had.” Ranbir is currently busy promoting his film Sanju, which releases this Friday.
