Nawazuddin Siddiqui takes inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock for Monsoon Shootout

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has inarguably become one of the finest actors in Bollywood currently. Thanks to his gritty roles, audiences have enjoyed watching him and thanks to his versatility, the actor’s able to get into the skin of his characters easily.

It has now been revealed that one of Nawaz’s acclaimed roles in Monsoon Shootout, took inspiration from one of the greats of psychological thrillers, Alfred Hitchcock.

Nawazuddin recently worked in an all-new crime thriller by Amit Kumar. The movie’s set to be called Monsoon Shootout. Interestingly, the actor has been taking inspiration for his movie from one of the greats of the genre, Alfred Hitchcock.

Says a source, “For the preparation of his crime thriller, Nawaz watched a lot of Hitchcock movies, since he’s known for his psychological thrillers. He watched all these just for the reference of the element of suspense, and how the grey characters have been portrayed.”

Monsoon Shootout premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and earned a nomination for Amit under the Golden Camera category. It also stars Vijay Verma and Tannishtha Chatterjee in lead roles.
