Parineeti Chopra was ready to start promotions for her film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar in March. But when she woke up one morning — at 6 am as usual — she soon realised the coronavirus has made a deep impact in India.

She got paranoid. She made a few calls to her PR team asking them to cancel the promotions and the team also realised that the promotions could not go on. Soon the lockdown was announced. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, directed by Dibakar Banerjee and co-starring Arjun Kapoor, will be one of the first films to release once lockdown opens and Pari will have to do her promotions all over again.

Meanwhile, the actress has finished shooting for her Hindi remake of the Hollywood film The Girl on the Train called Mira, for director Ribhu Dasgupta. The film also has actors like Kirti Kulhari, among others, and has to only finish post-production before it can be made available for release.

Ribhu Dasgupta is the same director who had made the web series Bard of Blood for producer Shah Rukh Khan, starring Emraan Hashmi. Parineeti also has some minor parts left to shoot for the biopic of Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal, directed by Amole Gupte.

Incidentally, Pari was also continuing playing badminton next to her building at Khar Gymkhana when the lockdown was announced. The first thing that she also wants to do is get back on the badminton court as she has not been gymming but playing the game to keep fit. Parineeti is staying all alone during quarantine and has had her friends sending her food regularly and taking care of her.

Parineeti was also supposed to shoot for the Ajay Devgn film Bhuj: The Pride Of India, but then there were some changes in the shoot and Parineeti decided to drop out of the film a few months ago and was later replaced by Nora Fatehi.
