Mumbai: It will not be an exaggeration to say that Angad bedi has arrived after his villainous act in Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Pink’. The actor, who is basking in the glory of the tremendous success of his last film, has bagged a crucial role in one of the most awaited flicks of the year- Tiger Zinda Hai.

For someone who has always wished to work with Yash Raj Films (YRF), this project has proved to be a dream-come-true moment for him. Talking to a website, Angad said, “Yes I am very excited. For me, it is a huge honour to be a part of YRF family. It was my dream when I met Yashji (Yash Chopra) with my father quite a few years ago that my dream is to be your family and a film which is made under your banner. He said your time will come soon and one day you will walk through the premise of YRF.”

The actor, who is well aware of the impact his last outing had on his career, credits his new-found success to Shoojit Sircar- director of ‘Pink’. “I feel after Pink my time has come. There have been a lot of appreciation for my work. Shoojit Sircar, Roni Lahiri, our producer trusted in me and gave me a break and gave me the opportunity to stand in front of Mr. Bachchan (Amitabh Bachchan). I will always be indebted for that,” said the grateful actor.

Angad is clearly smitten by superstar Salman Khan and feels it’s an absolute honour to share screen space with him. “After Mr. Bachchan, I am getting an opportunity to work with Salman Bhai (Salman Khan). It is a great honour, he is the biggest star at the box office. He is such a great human being. I have known his family for a while Sohail (Khan) Bhai, Arbaaz (Khan) Bhai and obviously above and beyond everybody else Salim (Khan) uncle. I met Salim uncle also after I signed the film.”

As far as progress of the film is concerned, Salman and Katrina have already wrapped up the first schedule in Austria and will go to Abu Dhabi for shooting the second part of the film.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is slated to release on December 22.
