Sonakshi Sinha had a mixed year in 2019, with only Mission Mangal — her film which also starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu and many others — hitting the `200 crore mark.
Her other films in 2019 – Khandaani Shafakhana and Kalank — failed at the box office, and her last release of the year Dabangg 3 — which saw her back in the role of Rajjo for the third time in the series — did not manage to live up to expectations, despite having the box office mighty Salman Khan spearheading the cast.
But she hopes that 2020 could augur well for her. “This year, I have Bhuj: The Pride of India hitting the screens. I am just going to start something else, for which I am going to make an announcement very soon. I am not at liberty to tell you at the moment. When I get the permission from the producers to make an announcement, I will surely make it,” says the Akira actress.
Having said that, the actress says that she is looking forward to the new film. “The subject is very interesting and I have a very good role in that film. I am pretty excited about it, I am really looking forward to it,” Sonakshi concludes.
