Aamir Khan's Dangal continues to dominate the box office on day 2

At this rate, the film will cross 100 crore mark by the end of Monday and enter the elite club.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan starrer Dangal has been making the right noises ever since it was announced. As the film finally hit the theatres on Friday, it received immense love and appreciation from people.

The film opened to a great start at the box office and minted Rs. 30 crore approximately on day 1, making it the second highest opener of the year after Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’.

On Saturday, the film earned Rs. 34 crore approximately at the box office and now stands tall with total earning of Rs. 64 crore approximately in just two days. At this rate, the film will cross 100 crore mark by the end of Monday and enter the elite club.

According to Box Office India, 'Dangal' is the seventh highest opener of all time at the box office and the second highest non-holiday of all time behind 'Dhoom 3'.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal has Aamir playing the role of real life Haryana grappler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita in wrestling.
