Shraddha injures her ankle, brings Half Girlfriend to a halt

The actress, who will essay the role of Riya Somani- an avid basketball player, has been training for the film since a couple of days.

Mumbai: Shraddha Kapoor has been training with an international basketball team to learn the moves of the game for her upcoming film 'Half Girlfriend'. The actress, who essays the role of Riya Somani- an avid basketball player, injured her ankle while practicing for the film. 

Shraddha shared a picture of her bandaged ankle with the caption, “Stressed ligament. But it's too much fun running on that basketball court.”

'Half Girlfriend' which is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name, is directed by Mohit Suri. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor, whose last film 'Ki & Ka' tanked at the Box Office.

Shraddha, who was last seen in 'Baaghi', has been juggling with several projects at once. She will be seen in Farhan Akhtar's 'Rock On 2!!' and Karan Johar's 'OK Jaanu'. The film which is a remake of Mani Ratnam's 'OK Kanmani' stars her 'Aashiqui' co-star Aditya Roy Kapur.
