Ajay will definitely grow richer every five or seven years, as according to our sources, he has not charged a fee, but taken away the satellite rights of the film Golmaal Again.

Director Rohit Shetty and the rest of the Golmaal Again team can relax, kick up their feet and bask in the film’s glory. The movie seems to be headed towards being the hit of the year, with the numbers standing at Rs 92 crore as of Sunday night. The film, still in its first week since release, is heading into the blockbuster zone fast. When the clash with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar had been imminent, Ajay Devgan, at a media interaction, said, “Both the films will find their respective space and they have totally different stories.”

And he was right. After the many flops through the year, and the disappointments at the end of each Khan film, Golmaal Again has garnered a steady income of around Rs 30 crore each day throughout the first weekend.

While Ajay has already raked in the big bucks with the film, the game and the influx of money doesn’t end here. Ajay will definitely grow richer every five or seven years, as according to our sources, he has not charged a fee, but taken away the satellite rights of the film Golmaal Again.

Usually, the satellite rights are sold after two to three months after the film has released. Since Golmaal Again has done so well on the big screen, one can expect a lump sum for the satellite rights as well. A source close to the development says, “The earlier Golmaal films would air every weekend on some channel or the other as well, so Ajay has kept the satellite rights for this film — a smart move indeed, since it is bound to bring in a lot of money.”
