Sky’s the limit for Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar, who was seen last weekend making guest appearances in two films —Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Bhoot, has jumped at an offer of a film to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. A new filmmaker is directing the film and it is being backed by SLB’s production house.
“It is a very interesting woman-oriented subject. Bhumi is already doing the hero’s role in the next Akshay Kumar backed film Durgavati, which is a horror-comedy. She is also shouldering the film on her own after winning awards and accolades with Taapsee Pannu for her Saand Ki Aankh act. So, it seems like a good time for her to pick up a subject that has the creative eye of Bhansali overlooking it,” says a trade source.
The Dum Lagake Haisha actress, who was seen earlier in Pati Patni Aur Woh, will also be shooting for the Varun Dhawan-starrer Mr. Lele apart from Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht.
