Mumbai: While Ayushmann has managed to maintain safe distance from controversies and scandals despite being fairly successful, his brother Aparshakti seems to be struggling with the new-found fame and has taken the ‘starry tantrum’ route a little too soon.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, in the month of October, the RJ-turned-actor had gotten into a scuffle with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) authorities when he was forbidden from entering a restricted area at the Mumbai airport. Aparshakti was furious as he had lost his baggage and got into an argument with the police, which later led to a fist fight.

An on-looker told Mumbai Mirror, ““He dashed into the restricted area but a few passengers caught him and he was arrested immediately by the Sahar Airport Police.”

Baburao Mukhedkar of Sahar police station, further confirmed the news, he said, “Aparshakti was sent into 24-hour remand for assaulting and threatening people in uniform.”

Despite his lawyer mentioning that he is the ‘Dum Laga ke Haisha’ star’s brother, the police refused to grant any concessions to Aparshakti and Ayushmann had to wait for 30 long hours post bail. The actor-musician even apologised for his younger sibling’s bad behaviour.

A 50-page charge sheet has been filed by the Mumbai police and will be presented in the court this week. “Aparshakti has been served notice and has to be present in court too. If found guilty, he may get a three-five year prison sentence,” a source close to the development informed Mumbai Mirror.

Other than RJing and now acting, Aparshakti was also the captain of under-19 Haryana cricket team.

His debut film, ‘Dangal’, where he plays a small yet pivotal role, releases on December 23.
