Katrina Kaif's Suraiyya finally makes an appearance
Yash Raj Films has just released the first look of the actress' character from the magnum-opus, Thugs of Hindostan.
After Amitabh Bachchan as Khudabaksh and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira, the makers of the upcoming magnum-opus Thugs of Hindostan have released the first look of Katrina Kaif as Suraiyya, and it’s a major throwback to her Chikni Chameli avatar in Agneepath.
In keeping with the theme, Kat’s character has been introduced through a motion poster that has her posing in front of a live audience, á la Mohini in Tezaab’s Ek Do Teen, with music playing in the background. It’s captioned, “She’s coming to make you go weak in the knees,” and Yash Raj Films’ promises that the actress will be seen in her hottest desi avatar yet.
Suraiyya was supposedly one of the most gorgeous women and captivating dancers in British India. And according to sources, the visual that’s been released comes from a song that Kat has shot with Prabhudheva.
Thugs of Hindostan, this year’s most anticipated release, comes out this Diwali, when it will have the benefit of a four-day weekend. A full-fledged trailer is expected to be released on September 27, on the occasion of Yash Chopra’s 86th birth anniversary.
