Mumbai: For the last 12 years actor John Abraham has been the face of Habitat For Humanity, an NGO  that works towards providing the homeless with a roof over their head and a proper sanitation system.

Even though John is the face of this initiative, it is the students from schools across the country that are the real enablers, collecting five crore rupees to build four lakh homes so far, through the Rupee for Change initiative of the NGO.

At a recent interaction with the actor, he was all praise for the painstaking efforts of these children, saying, “Our real heroes have built four lakhs homes already,” While adding, “We want to build more homes for the poor and I would ask one and all to support any cause that helps the society to grow.”

John's support and active involvement in this initiative has encouraged students across India to participate in the drive. As the brawny actor rightly says, “Heroes are not guys with huge muscles.  These students are the real heroes.”

On the work front his next film Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani is being shot at a blitz krieg speed. “It’s yet not complete. We are left with one big schedule,” he reveals.

Compliment the actor on his stout moustache for the film and he says, “Thank you for saying that I look sexy. However, everybody looking at my moustache feels scared that I will arrest them. I look more like a cop now,” he quips.
