Padmavati: Sorry Deepika, it's not only you, Ranveer loves Him' too!
With the excitement of first look reveal tomorrow, the buzz around Ranveer-Deepika's new film just got hotter with this news.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is leaving no stone unturned to make his latest film, ‘Padmavati’, spectacular. The period drama is based on the ruthless invader Alauddin Khilji and his obsession for ravishing Rani Padmini of Chittor. Actor Ranveer Singh is playing antagonist in the film while Deepika is essaying the role of Queen. But there is a twist in the tale here and it’s rather a shocking one! If reports are to be believed, the director is not only going to explore Alauddin’s fascination with Rani Padmini, but also his attraction to his slave-general Malik Kafur. It is being speculated that Jim Sarbh has played that role in the film and if it is correct, then maybe Bhansali can show that bisexual chapter of Alauddin Khilji's life.
Well, this is definitely an interesting chapter from the history to get familiar with, especially when a leading actor of Bollywood is playing such contentious character.
‘Padmavati’ also stars Shahid Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles. It is tentatively slated to release on November 17, as a speculation is rife that it might get pushed to 2018 release.
