Mumbai: Farhan Akhtar is one of the few actors from Bollywood who does not shy away from voicing his opinions, ideas and appeals. Hence, naturally the actor felt the need to inspire the voters to vote at the last leg of the Lok Sabha elections yesterday. Although, his heart-felt appeal to the Bhopal electorate to vote was an embarrassing goof-up as the voting for Bhopal had already concluded a week ago. In fact, it was Madhya Pradesh’s another city Indore scheduled for the voting.

In a hard-hitting tweet, the actor-filmmaker wrote, “Dear electorate of Bhopal, it’s time for you to save your city from another full-of-gas tragedy. #SayNoToPragya #SayNoToGodse #RememberTheMahatma #ChooseLoveNotHate” Naturally, the trolls picked on the mistake and actor was brutally trolled thereafter with one of the tweets even saying, “Lol.. half knowledge is dangerous and funny like in this case.” Reacting to the trolls, he posted, “Humne tareek galat samjhi toh galaa pakad liya, Jisne itihaas galat samjha, use galey laga rahe ho. (sic).”
