Emmys 2017: Priyanka's surname mispronounced on stage and Twitter has a field day
A goof up at the Emmys led to her fans expressing their anger online.
Priyanka Chopra might have impressed with her looks at the 69th edition of Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, but the Twitterati isn’t happy with an onstage goof up that happened when she was invited to present an award. They are upset that the announcer called out for ‘Priyanka Chopa’, missing out on the ‘R’ in the surname.
“Hey #Emmys is @priyankachopra's name REALLY that hard to pronounce? CHO-PRA!! Not “Choppa” My Nana would be so pissed right now (sic),” twe-eted a user. “There’s an ‘R’ in Prianka’s last name, announcer. #Emmys (sic),” wrote another.
While Priyanka looked drop-dead gorgeous and even made it to Marie Claire’s list of best-dressed celebs, Vogue too counted her as one of the celebs who shone bright at the red carpet. But it looks like something else garnered all the attention this time around!
