Mumbai: Alia Bhatt has often portrayed the strong woman in her films, be it in ‘Highway’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Dear Zindagi’ or the to-be-released film ‘Raazi’.

Speaking about the Kathua case at the recently held ‘Raazi’ song ‘Ae Watan’s launch, Alia Bhatt finally shared her opinion and said that it can’t keep repeating.

She said, “Of course, I have an opinion, it's not just Bollywood but the whole country is angry about it and should be. People are angry on a humanitarian level. It is a very disgraceful, shameful and terrible incident.”

Alia further added, “As a girl, as a woman, as an individual, as a resident of this country, I feel very bad and hurt that something like this has happened.”

“Reading about the incident in newspapers was overwhelming and hence I stopped reading the updates two days back. I think the more I read it, it makes me more upset, angry and hurt. I hope from my heart that justice is served. We should really go out there and condemn this because this cannot be done to us again and again,” she concluded.
