Mumbai: A Karan Johar movie as the launch pad to Bollywood will be a dream come true affair for Jhanvi Kapoor. And the fact that she is most likely to star in the Hindi version of Marathi blockbuster film ‘Sairat’ only adds to it.
While talking to Dna, producer Boney Kapoor, her father, confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we’ve given consent. But we don’t know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of Sairat it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project.”
Parents of this pretty debutant, who have rubbished talks of Jhanvi joining Bollywood in the past, are now beaming with pride. In fact, father Boney Kapoor sees his yesteryear superstar wife Sridevi in his daughter.
“I see in my daughter the same focus and concentration on her chosen career as her mother,” said a proud Kapoor.
The ‘No Entry’ producer, however, loathes the inevitable actuality of star kids being unfairly compared to their legendary parents. A concerned Boney said, “It’s never easy for star kids to make a place for themselves as they are invariably compared with their legendary parents. I hope Jhanvi won’t be compared with her mother, though.”
