Manayata Dutt's SOS to Ranbir Kapoor

Manayata Dutt has been making multiple calls to Ranbir Kapoor these days. Reason? You guessed it! It’s about the upcoming biopic on her hubby Sanjay Dutt, which stars Ranbir. 

Manayata has not been a part of the creative process of the Rajkumar Hirani film. The movie is based on a series of conversations between Sanjay and Rajkumar, apart from other research carried on by the filmmakers. 

“Manayata actually wants to know how her character is being portrayed in the film,” says a source close to the Dutts. “She does not have an inkling about how the film is being made, or what its content is. And since she’s a bit awkward speaking about it with Raju or Vidhu Vinod Chopra (the producer), she feels she can get some details from Ranbir, who has also gotten close to the Dutt family while making the film.”

What we know for now is that Dia Mirza will be playing Manayata in the movie.
