Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan famously known as Aamir Khan, was born on 14 March 1965 in Bombay to Tahir Hussain, a film producer, and Zeenat Hussain.

The perfectionist began exploring the actor in him from a very young age and at the age of eight, he appeared in the Nasir Hussain directed film 'Yaddon ki Baraat' (1973).

The film that gave Khan a major recognition as an actor was Mansoor's directorial debut 'Qayamat se Qayamat tak' (1988) alongside Juhi Chawla.

The movie proved to be a major commercial success, catapulting both Khan and Chawla to stardom and there was no looking back for Khan from then.

The actor turns 55 today and is currently busy with his upcoming movie ' Laal Singh Chaddha' also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan which is an official remake of Hollywood hit 'Forrest Gump'.

Laal singh chaddha is one of the most anticipated films of Khan and this is his next after the 2018 debacle 'Thugs of Hindostan'

Aamir Khan is one of the few A-list actors of bollywood who does not step back from taking risks. Even while being at the peak of his career he chose to be a part of multi-starrer movies like 'Rang de Basanti', '3 Idiots', 'Dil chahta hai' and we all know how 'Dil chahta hai' altered mainstream Hindi movie making forever.

With the back-to-back success of 'Tare Zameen Par', 'Ghajini' and '3 Idiots' Aamir had become the Raging star of the box-office.

Not that his risks always paid him well. In 2005, after taking several years off he starred in 'Mangal Pandey:The Rising', failed miserably which was hoping to build on the success of 'Lagaan'.

In 2011, he appeared in wife Kiran Rao’s 'Dhobhi Ghat', an ‘experimental’ film which again dint fare well at he box-office.

Aamir followed it up with 'Talaash', another modest performance, but then delivered the back-to-back hits 'Dhoom 3' (Rs 589 crore worldwide) and 'PK'(over Rs 800 crore worldwide).

'Thugs of Hindostan' managed only Rs 303 crore against a reported budget between Rs 220- Rs 300 crore. It came after Aamir had established himself as one of the industry’s most bankable stars, with hits such as 'Dangal 'and 'Secret Superstar', both among the highest grossing Bollywood movies of all time.

Everything said and done we cannot deny the fact that Khan has the charsima and calibre of giving a box-office hit with a memorable performance. His 'Ram Shankar Nikhumb' from 'Taare Zameen Par' and 'Rancho' from '3 Idiots' being completely different from each other manages to make you teary-eyed and fills your heart with joy.
