After a grand launch a couple of months ago, looks like Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Hero has been shelved. Production house Mythri Movies, which launched the film, seems to be in a quandary over bankrolling the action drama following the debacle of Dear Comrade.
Apparently, Vijay’s recent release, Dear Comrade, tanked without notice at the box-office, leaving the production house in a fix.
A source informs, “The production house was initially all gung-ho about bankrolling Hero, but after Dear Comrade fared miserably, they had second thoughts. Moreover, since the proposed budget for the film was much higher than Vijay’s market, the producers felt that it would be difficult for them to recover the cost.”
