Having had back-to-back success in the past, Ayushmann Khurrana is taking his next step very carefully. If sources are to be believed, the Vicky Donar actor refused to be part of Ajay Devgn’s proposed Hindi remake of Karthik Subbaraj’s 2014 Tamil hit, Jigarthanda.

Jigarthanda is about a gangster and a young filmmaker who wants to research on the underworld through his interaction with the gangster. Devgn who bought the rights of the Tamil film offered the gangster’s part to his buddy Sanjay Dutt, who has played various gangster roles in past.

While for the role of the filmmaker, the actor approached Ayushmann Khurrana, and Ayshmann shocked the senior star by turning the role down.

Says a source in the know, “At this point in his career, after two back-to-back hits Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Ayushmann  wouldn’t want to do a two-hero film.” However, Ayushmann is not alone in his ‘solo’ plans. Even Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Sushant Singh Rajput prefer to do it alone.
