Shamita Shetty turns down a television show over pay cheque

Mumbai: Sister of Shilpa Shetty Kundra, actress Shamita Shetty, is reportedly one high-priced television personality who wouldn’t settle for anything less than her current market price.

Despite a somewhat failed Bollywood career, the diva has managed to make a niche for herself in the small screen. Last year, Shamita was the judge of celebrity dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ and is currently working on a web series.

Believed to have taken to spirituality, Shetty junior is often spotted partying and holidaying with big sister Shilpa. And the actress has high expectations as far as pay cheques are concerned. According to a well-placed source, she has recently turned down a television show as the amount offered to her is way lesser than what she charges.

“Shamita was offered an amount that’s almost half of what she actually charges and so she turned it down. However, some other actress has agreed to work for a pay that’s quarter of what Shamita’s market price,” said the source. We now hear that Sanjeeda Sheikh is the actress who has given her nod to the show.

We hope this ‘pricey’ affair works out well for the petite actress and she is able to bag a Bollywood flick soon. Fingers crossed!
