Exclusive: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan lends her support for beautifying Mumbai

Former Miss World and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently inaugurated artist and social activist Rouble Nagi’s sculpture titled ‘The Paradise Garden’ opposite Mehboob Studios in Bandra, to lend support to the beautification of the Mumbai suburb. She was accompanied by BJP Member of Parliament, Poonam Mahajan.
Appreciating the art work, Aishwarya said, “Art needs to be enjoyed by every section of the society and becomes artwork with increased audience appreciation.” Recalling her association with Bandra, Aishwarya said, “I have a strong connect with Bandra as I lived here before marriage and shot for several films at Mehboob Studios. So I am happy to join this movement of beautifying the city and also having art installations.”
Referring to Aishwarya’s Bandra connect, young Member of Parliament Poonam Mahajan quickly quipped, “We are all aware that your voting rights are registered in Juhu, but we will need to shift it to Bandra constituency now, so that we can get more of your support!”
