Confirmed! Varun Dhawan to step into Salman Khan's shoes for Judwaa sequel

The film will be directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

The first part which released 19 years ago featured Salman Khan-Karisma Kapoor-Rambha.

Mumbai: 'Judwaa 2' has been in news for a couple of years and now it looks like the film is finally going on floors. The film which was directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala released way back in 1997. The movie which featured Salman Khan-Karisma Kapoor-Rambha was a super hit at the box-office.

Varun Dhawan, who posted that he has a special announcement to make, shared a picture and confirmed the news.

David will be directing his son, Varun in his first double role, in this franchise. It will be interesting to see who will be the two lucky girls to be cast opposite Varun.

Even though everybody is tight-lipped about the film, pre-production work on the new entertainer is in full swing. According to reports, there have been closed door look-tests in Los Angeles. A major Hollywood studio and DOP (director of photography) along with action-coordinator Spiro Razatos of Fast & Furious 6 fame have been roped in. 

Varun is currently working on 'Dishoom' with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez and has also been roped in for Karan Johar's 'Shuddhi' opposite Alia Bhatt.
