Janhvi Kapoor's shoots are on hold

We hear Janhvi has just begun shooting for her next film Mili, which is the remake of the 2019-Malayalam film Helen. She has also completed shooting for another film, Good Luck Jerry. However, industry sources tell us that Janhvi’s most ambitious film was Takht followed by Dostana 2, an out and out commercial film with Kartik Aaryan.

“Now that the entire film is being recast and Karan is busy with Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Janhvi’s not shooting when she should’ve been quite busy. While COVID derailed the shooting of Takht, the impasse between Kartik and Dharma Productions led to Dostana 2 being recast. Though Karan will make Takht soon, Janhvi will need to wait to get some good projects,” says a source.
That being said, Janhvi is glad she’s working on the Helen remake.

“Helen also won two National Awards this year and that’s a kind of a shot in the arm Janhvi needs. But after films like Dhadak and Gunjan Saxena, she’s also looking for more good films to help her regain lost ground,” adds our source.
