Singer Akriti Kakkar weds director Chirag Arora in quiet ceremony
Akriti Kakkar and Chirag tied the knot in an intimate ceremony over the past weekend.
Secret weddings seem to be the ‘it’ thing this season, as we have now learnt that Bollywood playback singer Akriti Kakkar, has also tied the knot. The 'Saturday Saturday' hit maker wed her director fiancé Chirag Arora, in a hush-hush ceremony on March 5.
Akriti’s younger sister Prakriti shared a picture from the wedding on her Instagram account, with a sweet note that read: “Congratulations to my world @akritikakar. You’re hitched! Love you no ends! @chiragaroraa and you are goals here’s to Forever! #lovelikethis #Akirag all the way!”
Akriti hit the limelight with her party song ‘Saturday Saturday’ for Alia Bhatt’s ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya’ and Iski Uski form ‘2 States’. Apart from her Bollywood career as a playback singer, Akriti also has an album to her credit that was composed by Shankar Mahadevan.
Last week, saw two other Bollywood celebrities tie the knot in quiet ceremonies. Preity Zinta wed her boyfriend Gene Goodenough in LA, while Urmila Matondkar wed Mohsin Akhtar Mir in an intimate ceremony in her Mumbai residence.
