Extensive pre-release promotions have become such an essential part of films’ marketing strategies these days that actors have to actually set aside a chunk of their dates to participate in them. Until now, we’ve heard of actors continuing to shoot despite being ill or injured, but now they’re pushing themselves to keep media interactions going as well.
Actress Sanya Malhotra, who promoted her recent release, Pataakha, despite being injured, still hasn’t managed to get any rest. She’s now started promoting her upcoming film, Badhaai Ho, with Ayushmann Khurrana.
At a promotional blitz held at Mehboob Studios this Friday, the actress was seen with an even bigger cast on her leg than before. A source tells us, “She is in pain. She’s on painkillers and antibiotics, but she’s putting on a brave face and smiling as she promotes her film. She’s done interviews for print as well as TV media.” We say, she deserves some time off.
