Mumbai: With the on-going Ganpati festivities, water pollution is a big concern as the idols are immersed into the sea, rivers and lakes. Made of Plaster of Paris and other toxic substances, the immersion has a harmful effect to marine life.

In order to reduce environmental damage, most people opted for an eco-friendly Ganpati, and joining the green celebration is none other than Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh.

In a video shared by the actor himself, we see Riteish Deshmukh sending out a positive message as he demonstrates how to make an eco-friendly Ganpati.

He shared the video on his official Facebook page by writing, "This Ganesh Chathurthi I thought of making my own Eco-Friendly Bappa. #GanpatiBappaMorya."
