Sanjay Dutt’s comeback project, Bhoomi, has been the centre of much discussion ever since it was announced. And now it looks like the movie has not just gone over-budget, but the makers are also coming back to Mumbai from Agra, and will be creating a new set in Filmcity.

Confirms the producer of the movie, Sandeep Singh, “We had to cut short our trip to Agra. We were supposed to shoot the entire film there, but now we’ve cancelled it. We’re going to Mumbai where Reliance will build up the set in Filmcity, and we’ll shift there.”

Earlier, it was reported that Sanjay’s shoot had to be called off since it was getting difficult to handle his fans in the city. Later, unfortunately, an incident during which his bouncers mishandled media personnel, blew up.

Says Sandeep, “My film has gone over budget now, but safety is more important. I have to think of my cast and crew; safety and security are major concerns here. I’m not creating Agra at Filmcity, because the budget doesn’t permit that, but we will create whatever is required. It will be created by Vanita Omung Kumar.”

Directed by Omung Kumar, Bhoomi marks Sanjay’s return to Bollywood, after his incarceration in Yerwada Jail for illegal possession of arms. The movie will also star Aditi Rao Hydari.
