Mumbai: A lot of speculations were rife about who will make the cut and star as Akshay Kumar’s leading lady in the sequel of 2013’s National Award winning film ‘Jolly LLB’.
Now if reports are anywhere to be true, we’ll see none other than Huma Qureshi romancing Khatron Ke Khiladi Akshay in filmmaker Subhash Kapoor’s next. This will be the first time that we’ll see Akshay and Huma sharing screen space with each other.
According to a daily, the actress liked the script and hopped on board after passing the look test.
The role of Jagdish Tyagi that was essayed by Arshad Warsi in the original, has now been taken over by Akshay Kumar. Apparently, the director and the producers were of the opinion that since the premise and the story have changed, the lawyers also need to be different.
The first outing that also had Boman Irani in a pivotal role was backed by Fox Studios. After the film won the National Award, the studio made it clear that they wanted a bigger star for the sequel.
