Anurag Kashyap on the best films of 2018

Anurag Kashyap, who had an impressive year in 2018 with films such as Mukkabaaz, Manmarziyaan, Lust Stories and Netflix’s web-series Sacred Games, came up with a list of Hindi films that made him “jealous”. 

The director shared the name of the films “in no particular order” and wrote “Hindi films of 2018 that made me jealous” His list includes films such as Mulk, Badhaai Ho, Manto, Andhadhun, Tumbaad, Mard ko Dard Nahin Hota, Soni, Omerta and October. In another tweet, the noted director added, “My list is not a “best of” list. It’s a jealous filmmaker’s list and it’s because there is something in them, or them as a whole that makes me rethink, gives me courage, has overwhelmed me and made me ask myself, “Why didn’t I see it that way?”
