Sanjay Dutt’s debut Hindi film as a producer Prassthanam tanked at the turnstiles, due to the fact that it failed to deliver on the hype for the Deva Katta film. However, that has not deterred the actor-producer one bit; he is in the process of announcing a few more films.

“His debut film as a producer — the Marathi film Baba — released earlier and did very well. It was also screened at the Golden Globes and has immense potential internationally as well. Sanju and his wife Manyata, who is more hands-on with the production part, have liked four scripts and will be making a big announcement very soon.

She is expected to announce one of them immediately, and the others soon after.

Sanju will be a part of some of these ventures, but will not necessarily act in all of them,” informs our source. The Munnabhai actor will be seen next in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat and then with Ranbir Kapoor in Shamshera followed by KGF2. He has other films in the pipeline like the unreleased Torbaaz, Prithviraj with Akshay Kumar and Bhuj: The Pride of India with Ajay Devgn.
