Mumbai: Creative differences are bound to happen in a collaborative work like making a film, but when there are maverick minds like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan working together in a film, the ideas are surely going to fly high. While it is absolutely fine to share inputs to make the project better, sojmetmes it can be a reason for a tussle between people when they don’t share similar vision. Which is what seemed to have happenend on the sets of Yash Raj Film’s upcoming Thugs Of Hindostan.
Vijay Krishna Acharya, who previously directed Tashan and Dhoom 3, is helming Thugs Of Hindostan. While shooting for a particular scene recently, Senior Bachchan had an argument over with a director which last long for almost three hours. As per the report in Mid-Day, Mr Bachchan was unhappy about a particular shot while director Acharya was adamant about it. The conversation soon resulted into an argument which created tension on the sets. The matter only got resolved when Aamir Khan, the other lead actor, intervened.
A source was quoted in the report as saying, “The veteran actor is taking such a keen interest in the film, that he even got into an argument with Acharya on how a particular scene must be shot. The shooting was stalled for three hours before Aamir played peacemaker and got the unit to resume.” Aamir also cracked a joke or two to lighten the mood on the sets.
The report further states that the workshops are usually arranged for actors to get the clarity of scenes and to improve their performance. When you dive in the process, creative arguments are only natural and unavoidable. However, director Vijay Krishna Acharya , denied the reports by saying, “There is no truth to this. Mr Bachchan is a delight to work with and is extremely professional. We are having a great time while filming this project. We share a warm rapport, so, I’m shocked at this disrespectful speculation.”
Thugs Of Hindostan stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is set to release some time in next year.
