From Aditya snatching his gf to Arjun buying underwears for him; Ranveer is on fire!

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh is not the one to shy away from tricky, exceedingly personal questions and the celebrity host of podcast (chat) show ‘#nofilterneha’ knows it all too well.

In the recent episode with ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star, the former Miss India threw fire balls at him and Ranveer answered them all, sans any diplomacy or even attempting to dodge them.

The actor, who is an out-and-out romantic, got his heart broken in the hands of Aditya Roy Kapur.

1) Aditya Roy Kapoor snatched Ranveer Singh’s girlfriend of 5 years!

Ranveer: So here’s the thing about Aditya, he’s always been a hottie. Even when we were 16-17. I was like this, like a preppy tight t-shirt boy from HR college. And he was like this Afro keeping hippy boy, you know, he was a fast bowler and he was all athletic an all...

Ranveer: Yaa he was like every girl’s fantasy in junior college and the girl that I was crazy about that time who is now married with a kid, so she, I was really like, this is like, I was mad about her. It was a good 4-5 years that I was crazy over her. And then she finally broke up with me. It was in order to move onto a certain Aditya Roy Kapoor.

 2) Ranveer Singh had his Sholay moment

Neha: Have you ever been on top of a water tank?

Ranveer: Yaa

Neha: So you basically had your Sholay moment, was there a girl, were you thrown out?

Ranveer: Yes we were in 9th-10th grade and our class room was on the last floor of the building and above us was only the terrace and it had a water tank and we’d all like chill there, it was invariably dangerous, really and we were badly reprimanded by it when teachers found out that that’s where we were hanging out, on top of a water tank on an eight story building. But yaa, I used to scream to all the cute girls down stairs, be like yaaay look at me, I love it, living on the edge...what do you know?!

3) Ranveer Singh admits to being an 'obnoxious bully'

Neha: But tell me, you had your cars even when you were younger and then you would go and scare like poor rickshaw walas? Who does that?

Ranveer: “I used to be very obnoxious in my adolescent years and I did some very mean things, I was an obnoxious bully and, in retrospect, I would not have done those things but I do feel like now and then karma catches up with me, you know whenever something untoward happens in my life, I credit it to all the bad things I did, mean things I did back in the day”

Ranveer: It was not cool, we used to do it for fun, we used to go out for drives in the night and we used to find rickshaw walas, who were sleeping in the back of the rickshaws and we used to creep up on them and then scare them like a ghost and they used to get absolutely petrified and then we used to like run away, drive away laughing like a pack of hyenas, it was really fun at that time, but I really look down upon anybody who did it, in retrospect I do understand it is a bit mean.

4) Arjun Kapoor, a key factor in Ranveer Singh's underwear choice?

Neha: So Arjun Kapoor, you have to thank him, like your girlfriends and you have something to thank him for. He has switched you from local underwear to branded underwear. What’s that about?

Ranveer: Well, see the thing is, back in the day, I used to wear cheap underwear and all credit to Arjun who has said what are you doing, like really ? really ?

Neha: He saw you naked?

Ranveer: So basically we were in Dubai and we went jeans shopping for the first time in my life I went to a luxury designer like shop.

Ranveer: And we were in the changing room and he was trying jeans and I was trying jeans and he spotted my underwear. He was like no no, you cannot. I mean, really. So all credits to Arjun that he was the one who made me realize that now I’m a movie star. Now I make enough money to be able to spend on quality underwear at the very least.

5) Ranveer’s breakdown moment for Deepika!

Ranveer: When ‘Aayat’ plays in Bajirao Mastani, the way it's used, is like Mastani it's just been captured and there is a really intense close up of Deepika’s when the song starts and she is in chain and been taken to the prison and that is the one point in the film that I break down.

Ranveer: I wont, I wont be speaking, because like, if I like start on this I will be very occupied and not speak, so I’m just going to let it sit there and give me the look.

Neha: And the extremely sensuous voice that he had, he has taken out for Nutella and two small boxes of Maltesers. It's not another chick. I would have left the room by now.

7) Did you know that Ranveer introduced Deepika to a song that turned out to be her ‘mood’ the next day?

Ranveer: But, Deepika posted that other song, which I introduced her to actually. Even you must hear that song, I'm sure you’ll like it and she posted it like - this is my mood today – Unforgettable by French Montana.

8) Is Ranveer a ‘Pu Pu’?

Neha: Why do people call you Perma pu-pu?

Ranveer: Arey fuck him, he is a Perma pu-pu. I’m no fucking Perma pu-pu. He’s a pu-pu and he was a pu-pu for so long that I called him Perma pu pu. This the term that I have coined. So first of all if I have coined it, it cannot be used on me technically. The second thing is was invented for him. Okay? It was my term for him; he can’t turn the tables and use it on me. That’s really fuck all of him.

Neha: Whom should we believe him or should we believe you?

Ranveer: Here’s the thing, I whooped his ass so much in Fifa that I used to feel bad for him, and I used to be like aallee pu-pu and then pu-pu became his name and then he sucked for so long. He took such a battering from me for so long that I made him a permanent pu-pu. Matlab tu toh, it’s a given ke tu harnewala hai. So it was perma pu-pu, ke that’s why the term permapu-pu came. So if there is like a shift in form so like he can’t suddenly take my term and use it on me. He is the original Perma Pu-pu and not me.
