Stree from horror-comedy genre

The makers of Go Goa Goneand Shorare, very optimistic on their current movie Stree,which released this weekend, would fare well at the box office. Produced by Maddock films in association with D2R films, the movie promises to be a laugh riot punctuated with hair-raising moments. Made on a budget of Rs 10 crore, the movie has a star cast of Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi. And music by the Sachin-Jigar dup.  Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is based on Indian urban legend, Nale Ba, a witch who knocks on people’s doors at night. Producer Raj Nidimoru says the story is about a strangely scary phenomenon happening in a town called Thirupathy.

There is an evil spirit roaming in the streets. “We have done the movie on a light budget and spent more on promotions”, he said. A song featuring Nora Fatehi, a Morrocan-Canadian dancer has already gone viral.
