2016 is only half way through but it has already treated superstar Akshay Kumar quite well. The actor has had two releases, Airlift and Housefull 3, both of which have raked in good business at the box office. And what’s more, the actor is already gearing up for his next release, Rustom this month and has also started shooting for his next film Jolly LLB 2, which will be directed by Subhash Kapoor.
But Akshay isn’t one to slack. It’s a known fact that Akshay plans his movies well in advance and makes sure to allot his dates in such a way that he has at least three to four releases in a year. So even while he is shooting for his movies, the actor is constantly listening to new scripts and potential projects.
One such script that he has listened to, according to reports, is by Utkarshini Vashishtha, who had earlier written the dialogues for Sarbjit. Akshay has apparently liked the script and has asked the writer to develop it further.
A source reveals, “The meeting happened recently and Akshay heard the narration and the idea got him excited. Now, it’s for the writer to get back with a final draft for Akshay to confirm. The film will be directed by Omung Kumar and the timeline will be planned once Akshay signs on the dotted line.”
However, this isn’t the only option that Akshay is considering. Apparently, the actor has also gotten a script from R. Balki, which he has liked too.
