Bluey Bites Big: Tops Global Charts with 25B Views, Outshines Squid Game, The White Lotus, More
Out of all of them, one show outshone a show that became the world's most watched TV show, garnering more than 25 billion views.

This year, television, theaters and streaming platforms saw the release of various blockbuster shows and movies across the globe.
The lineup included entirely new shows, returning series with new seasons, and a few shows came up with final seasons, such as Squid Game, a fresh installment of Love Island, etc.
Out of all of them, one show outshone a show that became the world's most watched TV show, garnering more than 25 billion views.
According to the latest report, which was released last month by a global market research firm, Nielsen, it shared a list of most-streamed and most-watched TV shows across the globe from January to June 2025.
Popular shows such as Squid Game, The White Lotus, and The Night Agent were in the list of top 20.
Meanwhile, surpassing all the popular shows of 2025, an animated Australian show, Bluey was in the top spot with 25 billion minutes viewed in the first half of 2025, beating Grey's Anatomy with 22.5 billion minutes.
As per Neilson, minutes are used for comparison as “it’s the great equalizer across dissimilar program categories and ultimately shows how consumers are spending their viewing time.”
Since October, Bluey has made it to the streaming charts for 143 weeks in a row. The show consistently remains on top as its audience is young children who frequently continue to watch the same episodes again and again.
The show, Bluey, was created by Joe Brumm and produced by udo Studio from Queensland, and follows the adventures of a lovable puppy, Blue Heeler, and her family.
The show first aired in 2018 and within a year, it became a global hit.
In 2019, Bluey will become a household name in the US, following its arrival on Disney Junior and eventually Disney +.
The target audience of the show is pre-schoolers and has over 154 episodes in three seasons.
In addition to Bluey, several other television shows, such as Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, The Rookie, Reacher, and The White Lotus, have also appeared on the Nielsen list.
